Tequila/Mezcal Tasting Event (Delta/Austin)

For our May Whiskey, turned "Agave" club event, we'll be joined by Travis Gale, Spirits Educator, from Maverick Beverage Co. 

Maverick Beverage is a liquor distributor who represents a variety of craft spirit producers.

Tequila and Mezcal are two of the faster growing spirits categories in the U.S. However, many of us have the image of doing tequila shots or "hearing" that mezcal is the super smokey cousin of tequila. Although, when you really dive into how craft tequila and mezcal producers are making their spirits and spend time teasing out the myriad of aromas and flavors, a whole new appreciation of tequila and mezcal will emerge.

We'll journey through six different brands, three tequila and three mezcal. Travis will teach us the production methods of both spirits, what agave plants are used, and guide us on a tasting journey. Even if you think you don't like tequila or mezcal,…
