Whiskey Club Members,
Greetings to 2026 and to the inaugural selection of whiskey samples.
For our February and March selection, you could choose from three distinct types of whisk(e)y.
Here’s some information about each one.
Sample A is the latest addition to Talnua Distillery's flagship offerings: the Bottled-in-Bond Sherry Cask-Finished Whiskey.

This whiskey has been a long-time aspiration for Meagan Miller, one of the distillery's owners. Talnua Distillery, based in Arvada, Colorado, specializes in crafting single pot still whiskey and gin, with all their whiskey being triple distilled.
This whiskey is crafted with a blend of 50% unmalted barley and 50% malted barley. It is aged for 4 years in charred, new American Oak barrels and then finished in Oloroso Sherry casks.
It is released at 100 proof (50% Alc/Vol).
Share the notes you discover in the aroma and palate of this whiskey.
Sample B comes from Elijah Craig, a brand under Heaven Hill, and is an 18-year-old single-barrel Bourbon Whiskey.

Elijah Craig Bourbon is crafted with a traditional Kentucky mash bill consisting of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley.
This whiskey is matured in new American Oak barrels with a char level of 3 and is released at 90 proof (45% ABV). This specific bottle is barrel number 7410 and was bottled on 7.9.2025.
Only a limited number of barrels are aged for this duration, offering a unique chance to experience how Elijah Craig endures over time. Those of you who selected this sample, share your thoughts.
Sample C is from Bruichladdich and is last year's Octomore 16.1

Rather than me telling you all about this fun whisky, I'm going to let Bruichladdich's press team do the talking. Follow this link for all of the details on this whiskey.
Hope you all enjoyed your sample/s. Share your tasting notes in the Blog comments
When you've finished, rinse out the bottle and return at our next whiskey club event. Once you return your sample, you can pick out a new whiskey sample beginning at the April event.
